Chaotic Dance

Shrouded in silence's gentle essence
I gaze wistfully out of her veils
While the world dances by in blissful ignorance
As I sit alone struggling to remove the scales

Time alters, perspectives shift
As my flailing hands bleed
Stubborn scales shatter, causing a rift
And in startled wonderment, my voice bleats

Noises taunt as I crouch
Amongst the turmoil of my travails
The gentle comfort of silence's pouch
Lures as my mind derails

I cradle my brow as headaches pounder
Still the world passes me by
As a flaw in the pattern - a bounder
And I struggle to my feet, dyed shy

Willfully I dance to their song
With bloodied hands
As I defy their thousand strong
To waltz freely upon the moorlands

Bruised but skillfully I dance through mayhem
As I causally mingle
Like a mirror image, I mimic them
As my faults are lost in blind muddle

But then my red soaked hands sing
And in muted panic they prejudged
As over me they poured torrents of water, gurgling
Still my hands remain smudged

From their features, anguish screams
And in pity they look down on me in fusion
As I defensively cradle my dreams
To look up soaked in innocent confusion

I am just as you are
But pray tell, why do you deny it?
Am I really that bizarre?
So far from normal that I misfit

Some treat me the same
Yet their eyes tell a different story
For in their eyes I am lame
But my lameness is my glory

I am as whole as can be
As my mind leads me onwards
In the battle over my lee
And of empty hazards

Don't fix me, I'm not broken
If anything it's you with your dashed tuppence
Let me dance with you through the deafened canyon
And together we'll dance with my gentle silence.

The Siren's Song

Time has passed by
Without a fond goodbye
Yet the air is sweet with music
As I sing to keep alive our relic

With my sisters of the deep
Would ye wish my tears seep
To see ye sail away
When here I for thee await

Come transfix thy mortal eyes upon mine
That I should not die for want of thy grace divine
If I would thy life borrow
For this forsaken body of tomorrow

Will ye not come, ease my pining heart?
And for eternity, never let us part
End thy travels of the neap tide
And in my lap's cradle, bide...
