Fantasy

Languishing in the afterglow of spent desire
Under the heavy-lidded rim of dawn
As sleep eludes and storm clouds ominously emerge
With the wind rising at my back
Invoking whispered dreams of the night before
When our eyes met and the world slowed
Stealing a kiss and breaking away
In star-speckled darkness as laughter took flight
Secretive smiles and a closing chasm
As wandering hands trailed lust-ridden doodles
With awkward grace and keen hunger
While a knowing eye set apart, smiles.

THIS imagery is truly overpowering, you are destined to be a great poetress; no, you are already GREAT!
