Solitude

I lie alone
As stars shy away across the sky.
No one touches me,
In my solitude, I am home.

Sometimes I’m drawn away
When one’s adoration leaves me breathless
And fantasies run rampant;
A mind stumbles and reason breaks.

A mind looks on sceptically
As adoration turns into obsession
And pieced dreams shatter;
Complex grows the us in the lust.

Alone I am safe
As stars shy away across the sky.
No one touches me,
In my solitude, I am home.

Rach, glad to see you are writing, albeit in "solitude."
