The earth’s womb weeps as dull the sky frowns
A touch of silver caresses the fragile diamonds;
Those that in their millions lie.
Alone they are many;
Merged - a forcible force.
What majestic power revered and feared by many
Could, with a single temper fell a nation?
Yet, we tread upon its afterthought everyday.
With and without;
Life grows and life stops.
Fallible while at its mercy we leak its essence.
Never enough; always too much,
No wonder the earth weeps.
